Position Summary

To assist the senior members of the tax team in the provision of tax administration and compliance services to a portfolio of high-net worth clients and intermediaries, including the preparation of Guernsey and UK tax returns and computations for individuals and companies.

Specific Duties

  •  Prepare UK and Guernsey tax returns and computations, including income tax and corporate tax.
  •  Review assessments and statements.
  •  Liaise with clients, intermediaries and tax authorities.
  •  Assist with the preparation of tax advice alongside senior team members
  •  Assist with client take on procedures
  •  Have an allocated client portfolio and ensure quality day to day service of that portfolio
  •  Have an awareness of chargeable time and manage and record own time effectively and accurately
  •  To take responsibility for self-development
  •  Take responsibility for client’s Acumen tasks and ensure they are completed in a timely manner
  •  Assists the managers and directors with matters relating to client billing
  •  Be familiar with and adhere to LTS Tax’s internal practices and procedures

The candidate will ideally have:

  •  A minimum of 1 year’s relevant experience in tax
  •  Commenced studying for a relevant qualification such as ATT or CTA
  •  A commitment to a career in tax
  •  A commitment to providing quality client service
  •  Accurate written and effective verbal communication skills
  •  The ability to use MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  •  Be capable of working in a deadline/volume driven environment
  •  Good team skills and be flexible to change and needs of the business
  •  The ability to prioritise work and focus on the most urgent and important tasks
  •  A proven academic record
  •  A willingness to learn new skills
